Richard A. Dodd, L.C.
Mesothelioma Lawyer
Mesothelioma Attorney Richard Dodd's extensive study of law coupled with over twenty-five years of experience helping those who've been injured and wronged by the negligence of others have made him a legal advocate of the highest order. His devotion to people and the betterment of his community, in general, are shown by his commitment to the very best for all people both inside and outside of the courtroom. Dodd's philanthropic nature is displayed in the community that surrounds him, as his desire to use all means available for the good of others is put into action in ongoing, people-centered services and organizations.
The human factor is a central concern in Dodd’s practice and he understands the role emotions play in every aspect of a person’s legal endeavors. Respecting each client’s emotions is a central part of his work for others. Having witnessed injustices early in life, Dodd set out to educate himself in the best ways to help people who suffered from societal injustices. He is proud of the firm’s dedication to helping only those with legitimate needs and not accepting frivolous cases.
With a cotton farming background from his youth and maintaining high standards of responsibility and hard work for himself from a very young age, Richard Dodd, an asbestos exposure attorney, learned the value of applying himself to meaningful work on a daily basis. Bringing that same daily emphasis on meaningful endeavor to his law practice, Dodd is selective about his cases and chooses only those to which he knows he can faithfully and devotedly apply all his legal skills to achieve success for deserving clients. His knowledge of the law and refusal to stop short of its complete fulfillment for his clients have gained him a respected status as both an opponent and colleague for all with whom he comes into contact. Other respected firms now employ the services of Cappolino, Dodd, & Krebs to review their own asbestos lawsuits.
Farming continues to be a part of Richard Dodd’s life as he jointly oversees a large farming operation with his brother. He is stirred by a great love of the environment which is evident in more than farming including hobbies of bird watching and raising acres of wildflowers and planting thousands of trees.
A graduate of the University of Houston Bates College of Law in 1981, Rick Dodd went on to attend over 1,000 hours of continuing legal education, including trial advocacy and jury psychology courses. Dodd is a member of the State Bars of Texas, Pennsylvania, New York and Arkansas. He is active in the Milam County Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Bar Foundation (Fellow), College of the State Bar of Texas (Fellow), Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and American College of Legal Medicine. He is on the Leaders Forum of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and belongs to the Products, Professional Negligence, Motor Vehicle, and Toxic, Environmental & Pharmaceutical Sections of AAJ, and to the Birth Trauma Litigation Group, the Medical Negligence Information Exchange Group, and the Brain Injury Association.
